THE COMPANY

The Torneria Veneta Ghirardo - Wood & Service in Mareno di Piave, in the province of Treviso, is a leading company in the production of wooden handles for brushes of all types and in general wood processing.
Founded in 1926 by Agostino Ghirardo, it is now in its third generation with engineer Lamberto, who holds the managerial role, perpetuating the family tradition of quality and professionalism, and carrying forward the teachings received from the experience and expertise of his father Giovanni Battista.
A strong passion for woodworking and professional seriousness are thus passed down from father to son.

PRODUCTION

The use of technologically advanced automation has allowed for mass production, potentially about 50,000 pieces per day, without compromising quality, and the creation of a wide range of items capable of meeting the needs of a large customer base.
The company produces wooden handles for all types of brushes, mops and related products, as well as brushes, curtains, gardening tools, finely painted cosmetic products, and picture frames. Furthermore, it also produces brushes for personal and animal hygiene.
Finally, the company is involved in wood processing for the world of furniture and furnishing accessories, DIY, decorative arts, fitness, and games.

ENVIRONMENT

Wood sourced only from sustainably managed forests

We are a company that has always paid attention to the environment, certified by FSC and PEFC.
With the FSC brand, products derived from properly and responsibly managed forests are identified according to strict environmental, social and economic principles. In FSC certified forests, the policy of replanting harvested trees is adopted.
We almost exclusively use semi-finished elements obtained from the scraps of other companies′ primary processing. The few boards that we process for special and oversized work are instead PEFC certified, meaning that they come from sustainably managed PEFC forests, from recycled and checked sources.
Furthermore, all of our processing waste and scraps are used in boilers for heating. The remaining unburned waste is compacted to give a second life to the wood: the briquette, or the log of pure pressed sawdust of virgin wood. Even the fumes emitted into the atmosphere are filtered and treated to avoid polluting the air and protect the environment.
